One-Act Plays
Act 1 Theatre Group Strathpine has announced the following fab four one-act plays by four different directors for their 2x weekends of One-Act Plays coming at the end of May and the first weekend of June.
Please scroll and listen to one of the directors talking on 99.7 Bridge FM.
There is love, comedy, drama and a short musical to entertain and delight you.
How I Killed My Mother, a drama written and directed by Pat O’Callaghan is about how a woman plots to kill her ageing mother.
Red Peppers, directed by Chris Sargent, is one of a cycle of ten one-act plays in Tonight at 8.30 written by Noel Coward. It is a hilarious parody of a Music Hall act, described as an interlude with music. This short comic play has entertained audiences globally since its West End opening in 1936.
If You Leave Me…, written by Pat O’Callaghan and directed by Anne Wilson. This play is a love story about a man and a woman reminiscing and facing the truth about the present.
The Garage Band is written and directed by Andrew Munslow. It is a short musical set in an alternative universe, where the not so fab four, John, Paul, George and Pete, are all now in their midlife, still getting together every month and exploring their music.
