Act 1 Theatre
Upcoming Auditions
Cracula’s Castle
Tue 24 & Thur 26 May 7pm until 9pm
Think: Vampires, Castles and Werewolves
Now add: An English Butler, Hollywood wannabes, A Vampire hunter, a hapless tourist, terrible Dutch accents,
The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a dreadful script and a new sound effects guy who is flying by the seat of his pants, and you have our next Act One Theatre Restaurant offering:
From the same production team that brought you “Hacienda Del Toro” in 2021, “Cracula’s Castle” is a fun parody sourcing ideas from Dracula, Rocky Horror, The Wolfman and Dance of the Vampires that will leave audiences laughing, singing, and maybe, a little bit scared to walk back to the car!
To Audition for one of the 7x male and 7x female roles please send a text message to 0414 990 185 to indicate which night you will be attending. A confirmation text will be sent back to you. This is simply to ensure we use the audition time well and give everyone the opportunity and time they need to perform at their best.

President's Message
Hi.
Welcome to the Act 1 Theatre website. Please feel free to look around and contact us for any further information.
The company has been in Strathpine in the heritage listed Pine Shire Hall for more than 30 years and has been around for over 50 years starting in Aspley in 1965.
We are a family company and will welcome everybody to our theatre with a smile and sometimes a joke or two... some of them are even funny.
We produce 4 to 5 shows every year ranging from comedy and farce to drama and thriller. There is also our annual theatre restaurant.
Our theatre festival is known as the "Act 1 TheatreFest”.
We have a licensed bar so enjoy a drink pre-show, at interval and after the show, a range of drinks are available at reasonable prices and our lovely volunteer staff are always on hand to help you make your selection.
If you wish to become a Member or need any other information our dedicated front of house staff will help you. Please also use the “contact us” form at the foot of the page if you have any further queries.
Our membership fees are reasonable and you will receive a monthly newsletter and discounted ticket prices.
Our mantra, my mantra, is not "break a leg" but HAVE FUN. We do, each show.
I hope you will come along and enjoy our theatre.
